Tithes Lambourne 1841: The schedule.

The whole of the parish of Lambourne aforesaid contains two thousand four hundred and thirty seven acres one rood and ten perches of land. Statute measure.

The whole quantity of the lands of the said parish which are subject to the payment of any kind of tithes is two thousand four hundred and four acres three roods and three perches. Statute measure.

The whole quantity of land subject to tithes within the said parish which is cultivated as arable land is seven hundred and thirty seven acres and four perches, Statute measure.

The whole quantity of land subject to tithes within the said parish cultivated as meadow or pasture land is one thousand two hundred and ninety six acres one rood and eighteen perches, Statute measure.

The whole quantity of land subject to tithes now cultivated as woodlands is one hundred and eighteen acres and thirty one perches. Statute measure.

The whole quantity of land subject to tithes within the said parish now cultivated as forest land is two hundred and twenty nine acres and thirty perches. Statute measure.

The whole quantity of common land subject to tithes within the said parish is twenty four acres, assumed measure. Consisting of roads lanes and wastes.

The undermentioned lands of the said parish are tithe free by prescription. Upper outer field and part of Upper inner field and part of Windmill hill field, Great sand field and a wood of Havering atte Bower park containing thirty two acres two roods and seven perches.

The glebe lands of the said parish which is not in the hands of the owner; or owners would be subject to a tithe amount for thirty four acres one rood and six perches.

         Now we Thomas Chapman of Arundel Street, Strand London and Jonathan Lewis of Waterend Farm near Ongar in the county of Essex having been duly appointed valuer to apportion the total sum agreed to be payed by way of rent charge in lieu of tithes, amongst the several lands of the said parish of lambourne do hereby apportion the rent charge as follows:-

Gross Rent Charge payable to the tithe owner in lieu of tithes for the parish of lambourne in the county of Essex.

Six hundred and ten pounds.
